Thrive Neuro Wellness is a brain injury consulting organization. We provide consulting services to patients and caregivers as they navigate life after brain injury. We will do a thorough evaluation of the patient's current functional status. We will prepare a personalized plan that will include recommendations for support services (medical and non-medical) that will create a path to recovery. With over 18 years of experience in neurological rehabilitation, Thrive Neuro Wellenss is well equipped to assist with all neuro recovery needs.
Our Mission:
As a speech-language pathologist and brain injury specialist, Dana has worked with hundreds of patients and families who have been devastated by brain injury. Once these patients have transitioned from intensive medical care facilities, they're left to figure things out on their own. The world of brain injury is so specialized that it requires very specific knowledge and skills to navigate it effectively. Most patients and families are not able to dedicate the time necessary to find all of the appropriate services needed for the best possible outcomes. Thrive Neuro Wellness will fill that need. With years of experience and connections throughout the nation, Thrive is equipped to be the bridge to meeting one's full potential following brain injury.
Meet your brain injury specialist:
Dana McKinney
MS, CCC-SLP, CBIST-AP
Dana has been a medical speech-language pathologist for 18 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation, and home health. She has held leadership roles in post acute brain injury rehab facilities where she has combined her love of neuro rehabilitation and patient care with education and advocacy. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. She is an active advocate for clients with brain injury in Louisiana and Mississippi. She frequently presents at state and local conferences and participates in local events to raise awareness for brain injury rehab. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Nicholls State University and a Master of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University.

In May 2024 my 22-year-old son had a brain aneurysm and a week later, a stroke. Our world collapsed. I felt like I was living a nightmare. We provide speech language pathology services to clients 18+. Our licensed speech language pathologist can provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluation and treatment. One on one treatment, home exercises program, and coaching services available.
